EXCLUSIVE: Peppa Pig’s mum has recently given birth to her third child Evie and Mysterious Girl legend Peter Andre has offered some words of support for the cartoon matriarch
Pop icon Peter Andre can’t believe Mummy Pig has given birth.
The much-loved cartoon family has welcomed a fifth member as Peppa Pig’s mum recently gave birth to Evie Pig.
Mysterious Girl singer Peter Andre spoke exclusively to Daily Star and said: “Peppa Pig’s mum has just given birth?! That’s amazing! I hope she’s okay. My response is: ‘Oink, oink,” and I hope they are doing well.”
Andre was quick to praise all the mothers out there: “You know what, I am a father of five but I cannot say I’ve done the hard work. The hard work is definitely with the mothers, because mothers have to go through the whole process before the child is born.”
“For us guys I’m not saying the lack of sleep is great, but I definitely can’t complain compared to what the mums go through!”
On 20 May the Pig family appeared on Good Morning Britain to announce the happy news.
Daddy Pig even sent photos to the TV studio where Baby Pig could be seen with a bow already around their ears. The gender was also announced as a girl.
As for the name, Peppa’s new sister is named Evie after Mummy Pig’s Aunt Evie, and was born for 5.45am. The news was revealed through a town crier, and a plaque was revealed with Evie’s birthing information.
Excited fans took to X/Twitter to share the news and one person wrote: “Aw, she’s proper lovely! Welcome to the world, little Evie – hope she’s got her mum’s sense of humour and her dad’s cheek!”
Another added: “Aw love it. Welcome, Baby Pig,” while a third cheeky user penned: “Now is the time for who will have custody.”
On the same day Mummy Pig’s representatives revealed: “Pig news in the world of Peppa Pig! The moment fans have been waiting for is finally here, Mummy Pig has given birth to a beautiful baby girl!”
“Baby Evie was safely welcomed into the world today at 5:34AM and both Mummy Pig and baby are doing well.”
