EXCLUSIVE: Coronation Street beauty has opened up about her property plans as she vows to move closer to her ex Scott Sinclair in the light of her rumoured split
Helen Flanagan has shared her plans to move near her ex-fiancé and father of her kids Scott Sinclair, in the light of her rumoured breakup with Robbie Talbot. And it appears she is already ready to move on, as she’s just been enjoying a sun-filled trip to France.
The actress spoke exclusively to Daily Star at the Which Bingo Awards about her future plans as she had previously said she would be moving homes soon after finding it difficult co-parenting from such a distance.
Talking about this, mum-of-three Helen, 34, said: “Their dad lives in Bath at the moment and plays for Bristol and then I live in North Manchester like five hours away, so it’s really hard co-parenting that far away. So, I went to Bath for a few days to look at some schools, and check them out. Me and Scott need to live in the same city now.
“I’ve got some work projects coming up so I need to be in Manchester anyway and I don’t want to mess my little girl Matilda about when she’s moving again. So, I want her to see through year six without any disruptions and stuff and then go from there.”
Helen shares her three kids with Scott – Matilda, nine, Delilah, six, and son Charlie, four. The Corrie actress and her ex split in 2022.
This comes after the news spread of her rumoured split from her former footballer partner Robbie, 45. A source told The Sun: “They want different things in life. She has just landed a new acting job and is trying to juggle work projects with the kids.
“She sat him down two weeks ago and said, ‘This isn’t working.’ It was a grown-up chat. She just wants to be on her own for a while although she still has feelings for him.”
Helen went public with Robbie last year after meeting him before appearing on Celebs Go Dating, but she once confessed to having a slightly controversial first impression of him.
“I thought he was gay,” she told the publication. “He has these really white teeth and was so well dressed and smart and he was with his mate and I just assumed.
“As soon as we got talking, I realised that wasn’t the case, we exchanged numbers, started messaging and here we are!”
She also told Fabulous about her decision to ask him to move out of her family home, and said: “I’d asked him to stay for a while, because I often get quite scared in the house on my own and feel safer with a man there.
“But Matilda is very sensitive and a proper daddy’s girl, and she struggles with not seeing Scott as often as she’d like. I always think about how she feels when she misses her dad, and having my boyfriend there maybe doesn’t help her. When you’re a mum, you do what you’ve got to do for your kids – I will always put mine first.”
