Singer JoJo Siwa has revealed that she is in a “lovely relationship” with her former Celebrity Big Brother housemate Chris Hughes after the pair were caught snogging
JoJo Siwa has finally confirmed she is in a relationship with Chris Hughes.
The pair formed a close friendship in the Celebrity Big Brother house and left fans wondering if something romantic was brewing between them. At the time, JoJo was in a relationship with non-binary Kath Ebbs but she broke up with them at the show’s wrap party.
JoJo, 22, and Chris, 32, have been inseparable ever since leaving the house and were recently caught sharing a kiss in a hotel swimming pool in Mexico. The duo spent time together in places like Mexico and Disneyland and seemingly confirmed their romance again at Heathrow airport when they shared a kiss there.
Chris even posted (and then deleted) an intimate snap of him and the singer lying in bed. The Love Island star gave JoJo a kiss on the forehead and captioned the snap: “Sleepinnn beauty”.
The pair had remained coy about their relationship status and had previously insisted they were just friends. However, JoJo has finally admitted she’s in a relationship with “a sweet boy named Christopher Hughes”.
The Dance Moms star confirmed their romance during an appearance on Capital Buzz’s Portrait Mode. She said: “I’m sure it’s no secret to people, I am in a lovely relationship with a sweet boy named Christopher Hughes.”
She added: “And we met on Big Brother; neither of us knew who each other was. We became really good friends, whatever. So about two nights ago – so, we’re deep into this at this point – we have the conversation about just like life and things, and all of a sudden the conversation of dream guests on my podcast comes up.”
JoJo had been asked if there was anything she’d said in her career that she’d want to take back. She chose the moment she was asked about her dream guest on a podcast and answered “one of her exes” – and said she’d explained the viral moment to Chris.
The singer also told the Guardian that her relationship with Chris was “not platonic anymore”. She said: “It’s been a beautiful development, a beautiful connection, and I’m absolutely head over heels for him and he’s the same way.”
Chris had decided to be more vague in his response to the romance rumours, telling House of Cavani that his relationship status is “happy”. He said: “Happy, that’s my relationship status. It’s happy… It’s just happy.”
Chris and JoJo have been jetting around together ever since they left the Celebrity Big Brother house. Love Island star Chris partied with JoJo and her family in Mexico on the singer’s birthday and the duo were also seen holding hands at Disneyland.
Chris also watched JoJo perform at her concert at Colours Hoxton last week. He joined JoJo’s mum, Jesalynn, at the event in London.
