Legendary songstress Beyoncé opened up the UK leg of her tour by performing at London’s Tottenham Hotspur Stadium, but some fans were seen getting into fights during the show
Fans of Beyoncé have been seen brawling as the singer kicked off her UK tour.
The Love on Top singer, 43, kicked off the London part of her Cowboy Carter tour earlier this week, after fans to grab tickets to her sell-out stadium gigs. The shows came after Beyoncé’s mother Tina was diagnosed with breast cancer, which she revealed in a heart-breaking statement.
Legendary vocalist Beyoncé opened the London leg of her show by performing at the Tottenham Hotspur Stadium, bringing in thousands of revellers to listen to her music. However, while the singer was belting out her greatest hits, some fans were seen getting into a brawl in the stands of the stadium.
During Thursday night’s show (June 5), Beyoncé had been giving a flawless performance of her 2008 song Why Don’t You Love Me. However, unbeknownst to the singer as she was singing to the crowd, a fan was seen tackling another concertgoer to the ground, the Daily Mail reports.
The clip, which was spread across social media in the aftermath of the brawl, sees a fan dolled up in a sparkly black cowboy outfit aggressively take down the other fan – with both falling to the ground. Several other fans try to step in to stop the fighting; it is not known whether security at the concert had to get involved.
However, despite the violent altercation between fans, this was not the only moment that got tongues wagging from Beyoncé’s show. During the concert, the Crazy in Love singer’s chaps fell to the ground mid-performance.
However, not one to suffer embarrassment, the Texas songstress did not let the pressure get to her. Rather, she instead simply put them back on and kept the song going
Wowing the crowds with her phenomenal vocal range, the singer was seen wearing a gold bodysuit with a plunging neckline, while she donned gold-fringed chaps, together with high heels – making her look a perfect mix of country and glamour.
She also brought a touch of class to the look as she wore a custom outfit, with fringed flares and a multitude of Swarowski rhinestones embellished onto her ensemble. All of the mum-of-three’s backing dancers wore denim made by Levi’s to add to her demure look – as part of the singer’s advertising campaign with the jeans brand.
Beyoncé is in the midst of her latest tour, which officially kicked off in Inglewood, California back on April 28. The tour – whose full name is The Cowboy Carter and the Rodeo Chitlin’ Circuit Tour – will see the former Destiny’s Child star perform at 32 stadium venues across the US and Europe.
Fans were racing to get tickets for the singer’s six-date stop at the Tottenham Hotspur Stadium in London, with tickets selling out in just a matter of minutes. She is set to perform another five dates at the stadium in the only UK stop on the tour, before moving onto France and then back to the US ahead of the final show on June 26 in Paradise, Nevada.
