EXCLUSIVE: Love Island beauty Samantha Kenny has given fans an update on what she’s been up to post-villa as she’s a year out from starring on the ITV dating show
Love Island’s Samantha Kenny confessed she has been able to leave her day job behind after finding fame on the ITV show. The Scouse makeup artist, 27, spoke exclusively to Daily Star as she attended Shein’s VIP O Beach party last week. Samantha stunned at the event in a cream two-piece bikini and a brown cover up that she accessorised with statement shades and a gold necklace.
The TV star, who enjoyed working in the beauty sphere before being catapulted into the spotlight, revealed she no longer has to spend her time giving makeovers anymore, unless it’s for herself.
Talking about post-villa life, Samantha told us: “It’s been crazy, it’s been life-changing, it’s been a whirlwind. It’s been a year now. I’ve been really lucky as well because I was only in there for two weeks as well.
“No, I don’t need to do it [makeup artistry] anymore. Though it’s quite handy when you’re going to events and stuff.
“I’m a beauty girly and a trained makeup artist, so I’m doing my socials and want to stay in that sphere.”
We also quizzed Samantha on the fact ITV have vowed to air the raunchy sex scenes that may take place in the hideaway this year. She laughed: “Bring them back – those first couple of seasons were the best when it was wild.
“With the smoking and stuff they used to show as well, I used to say ‘Give me a ciggy and a coffee in the morning around that firepit and I’ll give you the juiciest gossip ever’.”
Samantha also shared that producers were strict on the two-drink rule but she managed to have more than her fair share on some occasions.
She added: “I downed mine so I got a little buzz, the first couple of days I used to rob everyone’s drink and I would swap it and grab theirs and drink theirs. They would tell me off from above and be like ‘Samantha!’.
“They even threatened me with a drinking ban as well – but luckily I never got one.”
