Peter Andre has opened up about his daughter Princess’ 18th birthday, admitting he’s ‘a bit nervous’ about what’s to come as the teenager enters a new chapter in her life
Peter Andre is feeling “nervous” for his daughter Princess.
The singer has confessed he’s worried after his daughter recently celebrated her 18th birthday, and the doting dad admitted the idea of his little girl growing up is a tough pill to swallow.
Despite Princess breaking up with her boyfriend last month, the devoted father of five is looking forward to the day he can walk her down the aisle.
In his weekly column for New! Magazine, Peter spoke about his daughter’s milestone: “My beautiful daughter, Princess, has hit the 18 mark! It is so scary but she’s a blessing. She’s very driven, she’s funny, she’s kind, she has a beautiful heart and she’s completely bonkers, and that’s exactly why I love her.”
“Yes, I’m a bit nervous about it all because, by the time this column comes out, I have no legal parental responsibility over her. She can do what she likes and make her own decisions,” reports the Mirror.
Peter joked that “she’s been doing that for the last year anyway” and said that he is “proud of everything she’s done,” but Princess will “always be his little girl”.
“I guess I can rest in the knowledge that hopefully, one day, I’ll be the one walking her down the aisle. So I’ll be a soppy dad all over again.”
Peter shares Princess and his eldest son Junior with his ex-wife Katie Price. He and his wife Emily MacDonagh are parents to Theo, Amelia and Arabella, who they keep away from the public eye.
Princess and Junior are already making a name for themselves in the entertainment industry, with a reality show in the works and several brand deals under Princess’ belt already.
Meanwhile, Junior has started a music career and has a strong online presence. Princess recently shared that she knows it’s not easy for her dad to see her growing up: “He’s so proud and so supportive, but I think it’s hard to see your kid get older… he was the first person I took for a drive in the new car.”
