Foo Fighters rocker Dave Grohl and his wife Jordyn Blum have been pictured together for the first time in over a year, putting on a united display at Wimbledon
Foo Fighters’ frontman Dave Grohl and his wife Jordyn Blum made a joint appearance at Wimbledon, marking their first public outing together since the news of his secret child with another woman broke. Their last visit to the tournament was a year ago in July, when Dave seemed irritable – a reaction fans were oblivious to at the time, unaware of the turmoil unfolding behind the scenes.
In August, the truth came to light, revealing the Foo Fighters star, 56, had a daughter with 38-year-old LA-based fan Jennifer Young. Grohl publicly apologised for his infidelity in September.
Despite the initial shock, the couple has been working on healing their family. By February, six months after the admission, insiders revealed Jordyn, 49, had “forgiven” her husband.
On Wednesday, day three of Wimbledon, the pair presented a united front in the Royal Box. Jordyn exuded elegance, braving the rain in a dusty salmon pink suit paired with brown boots, while Dave looked dashing in a pristine navy blue suit.
This marks their first joint appearance in over a year, following Grohl’s lovechild revelation that stunned fans last year. He had taken to social media to announce: “I’ve recently become the father of a new baby daughter, born outside of my marriage,” reports the Mirror.
“I plan to be a loving and supportive parent to her. I love my wife and my children, and I am doing everything I can to regain their trust and earn their forgiveness. We’re grateful for your consideration toward all the children involved, as we move forward together.”
This statement was released just hours after an Instagram post allegedly showing another baby went viral – though a spokesperson was quick to debunk the photo as a hoax. Adding to the drama, it was revealed that Dave had sought advice from a divorce solicitor before publicly admitting to the affair.
This is Dave’s second trip down the aisle. His first marriage was to photographer Jennifer Leigh Youngblood from 1994 until they parted ways in 1997.
The Guardian once reported that “admitted infidelities led to his divorce” from Jennifer.
Reflecting on his first marriage in a 1999 interview, Dave said: “I was 25, my wife was even younger. We weren’t ready to get married. I miss her a tonne, she’s the funniest goddamn weirdo you ever met… It would have been better had we not got married. But you live and you learn.”
Post-divorce, Dave found love with former MTV producer Jordyn. He confessed to Elle magazine that their initial dates didn’t hint at a serious relationship.
“I wasn’t ready for a serious relationship,” he admitted. However, three months later, he had a change of heart and rekindled his romance.
