Tasha Ghouri tells the Daily Star that the popular show changed her life and shares interesting secret from filming another popular reality TV programme that can often leave stars ‘in tears’
Tasha Ghouri has revealed competing on Strictly was life-changing for her.
The Love Island star was living the dream during her time on the BBC contest last autumn. She told me: “I got to dance, which is something I’d wanted to do since I was a little girl.
“I was living the dream. I loved every single second. I made so many new friendships out of it as well. It changed my life. It was just such a great show.”
Meanwhile the former Love Island legend has lifted the lid on an “awkward” behind-the-scenes secret from the filming of the show. Dumpings can be awkward enough, with stars often leaving the villa in tears, but Tasha Ghouri has confessed that filming them can be even worse
Speaking to Daily Star as she launched the UK’s first festi-sential vending machine with Tequila Rose before Glastonbury, Tasha said: “When you do a walk-out, you film that twice, which is a bit awkward. When someone gets dumped, when they do the walk-out, leaving the villa, they do that twice or sometimes it’s been three times.
“You all have to say goodbye again. It’s really awkward. They’re turning back around, walking towards the suitcase and then go do it again because they have to get different angles.”
Luckily for Tasha, she didn’t have to film that moment on her series in 2022, as she reached the final with then-boyfriend Andrew Le Page.
The duo, who were beloved by fans, sadly announced their split earlier this year after almost three years together. Andrew has since moved to Dubai, while Tasha’s career is going from strength to strength off the back of competing on Strictly last year.
Earlier this year, it was reported that Tasha was dating YouTube star Cam Whitnall, though she hasn’t publicly confirmed or denied the romance.
Either way, it seems she has no plans to go back into the villa for an All Stars series. Tasha was in full “living life” mode at the weekend as she attended Glastonbury, sharing a bunch of photos from the festival.
Speaking of her festival must-haves, Tasha said: “SPF is so important at festivals. And I can never go without my lip gloss, this is my festi-sential, I love to have a little top up throughout the day.”
