Singer Jessie J has updated fans after she has been given a huge health update on her cancer journey.

The singer has shared the uplifting news that there’s “no cancer spread” following her surgery, after revealing earlier this year she was diagnosed with “early breast cancer”.

The 37-year-old star, whose real name is Jessica Cornish, posted a heart-warming picture of her son on Instagram, captioning it “mummy’s going to be OK” as she broke the news.

In the post, she expressed: “And I am OK, results = I have no cancer spread, happy tears are real. Thank you for the prayers, the love, the well wishes, the joy and all the positive energy.

“This video is from the night before my surgery. We called it baby boy. You are my biggest ray of light and with you in my life, the darkness will never win. Lots of healing to go and one more surgery to make these cousins look more like sisters, but for now it’s gratitude time and I am changing my name to The LopJess monster.”

Back in June, the Price Tag hitmaker revealed she had been undergoing “in and out of tests” when she announced her diagnosis. She shared at the time: “I was diagnosed with early breast cancer. Cancer sucks in any form, but I’m holding on to the word ‘early’.

“It’s a very dramatic way to get a boob job. I am going to disappear for a bit after Summertime Ball to have my surgery, and I will come back with massive tits and more music,” she quipped, reports the Mirror.

The pop sensation explained that she went public with her diagnosis to help her cope with the news, and to stand in solidarity with others facing a similar ordeal.

The London-born vocalist gave birth to her son, Sky Safir Cornish Colman, in 2023, following a miscarriage in November 2021.

Jessie J has battled various health issues throughout her life, including being diagnosed with a heart condition at just eight years old, suffering a minor stroke at 18, and briefly losing her hearing in 2020.

Last month, she took to the stage at Capital’s Summertime Ball, vowing to “beat” breast cancer. With three number one hits in the UK singles charts, including Domino, Price Tag, and Bang Bang, Jessie J has solidified her position as a talented singer-songwriter.

Her impressive career has earned her numerous accolades, including four Mobo awards in 2011 for Best UK Act, Best Newcomer, Best Song for Do It Like A Dude, and Best Album for Who You Are. She also won the Brit Award for Rising Star in 2011.
