Rhian Sugden has always been known for her 32D chest but the former Page 3 beauty has had a battle with back pain after her boobs increased to 34F – and has now opted for a reduction
A former Page 3 beauty has shared that her Coronation Street actor husband was “gutted” following her breast reduction surgery.
Ex-glamour model Rhian Sugden, who shot to fame at the tender age of 19 posing topless for various media outlets and lads’ mags with a 32D cup size, became a household name through her work on Page 3.
However, she officially hung up her glamour modelling boots in 2017 after nearly 11 years gracing the pages of tabloids. Since then, the model, who now sells racy content online, has kept a low profile but regularly interacts with fans and even appeared on Celebrity Big Brother.
Away from the limelight, Rhian was privately dealing with severe pain as her breasts grew to a 34F cup size – post welcoming her son – which she referred to as “back breakers.”
Now, the 38-year-old has disclosed that she’s gone under the knife – but for a breast reduction, reports the Mirror.
Speaking openly, Rhian confessed that her large bust made it challenging to walk as they were always “extra large.”
However, she is now much more mobile. She shelled out over £10,000 for the procedure at Pall Mall Cosmetics in Newton-le-Willows due to her posture “getting worse” because of the weight of her previous breasts.
Rhian revealed that no matter what size bra she purchased, there would always be indentations on her shoulders from the straps, and she had been reliant on painkillers due to the discomfort.
Rhian, who is now feeling more at ease, confessed that her husband, Oliver Mellor, a former Coronation Street actor, initially struggled with the change.
In an interview with The Sun, she revealed: “Oliver was gutted at first – he’s always loved my boobs. But he understands and I think he’ll be happy for me to stop moaning about my back ache, to be honest.”
However, Rhian has received mixed reactions from fans, with one even demanding a “refund” after purchasing her online content and magazines over the years. “He was saying I’m making the worst mistake of my life – how dare I remove the boobs,” she shared with the publication.
She acknowledges that while the reduction was for health and aesthetic reasons, it’s been “difficult” dealing with others’ opinions on her body. “It’s going to be a relief,” she expressed post-surgery.
Although predicting the exact size of her new breasts prior to the operation was challenging, she hoped for a C or D cup, closer to her size when she began modelling.
Despite this, she had high hopes before the procedure. Now, however, it marks the “end of an era” for Rhian’s breasts, which propelled her into stardom.
