Christine and Paddy McGuinness share three autistic children and she said it is why they ‘tend to stick to the same places’ when they go abroad as a family
Telly star Christine McGuinness has revealed she still goes on holiday with her ex-husband Paddy and she ‘loves’ it.
The 37-year-old said that regardless of what happened between them as a couple, their priority is always their family.
The couple share three autistic children together, and McGuinness admitted this is why they ‘tend to stick to the same places’ when they go away.
The model, who still lives with the presenter, 51, told the Woman’s Hour podcast: “I tend to stick to the same places.
“So when we go on holiday, we use the same hotel because it’s familiar for them, and that really helps.
“And I hope that it just gets better and better and they get more comfortable going out and about and they get more comfortable being around others and that, you know, we can travel to different places.
“We’re not there yet.
“We’re still going back to the same place again this summer, but that’s okay and it actually helps me as well.”
McGuinness, who is also autistic, was asked if she holidays with the former Take Me Out presenter.
She said: “Yeah, yeah, we do, and I love it, I genuinely do.
“I love it, I love it for us, I love it for me. I love it for him and for the children.
“That they’re with their family, they’re there with mummy and daddy.
“And that’s how it should be regardless of what has happened between us as a couple.
“You know, we still share the same home and we’re going to share the same children for the rest of our lives.
“You know, and our priority always is to put those first.”
The couple separated in 2022 after 11 years of marriage.
Together, they share three children: twins Leo and Penelope, 12, and their daughter Felicity, eight.
