David Corenswet, the new Superman, has revealed he suffered an unfortunate mishap with one of his testicles during filming that was like Kryptonite to the actor
Superman actor David Corenswet has revealed he got the “wildest bruise” on his right testicle during filming.
The new Clark Kent was injured after his ball got crushed by a harness during a flying scene.
David told how he was left in agony after being pulled through the air after punching out a window in a skyscraper.
Recalling his eye-watering accident seen in a trailer for the movie, Corenswet said: “There’s footage from filming of me getting pulled through the air.
“It’s this wonderful epic moment, it’s in the trailer.
“In the beginning of it where I stand up and punch the glass out and then I leap out the window and fly through the air.
“And the first take of that, it’s this big epic punch and a leap through the air and then just, my testicle.”
The 32-year-old Metropolis newcomer appeared alongside English actor Nicholas Hoult, 35, who plays Superman’s archnemesis Lex Luthor in the movie and was a ballet dancer before he started acting.
Former Skins star Nicholas, who appeared in productions such as Swan Lake and The Nutcracker for the English National Ballet, admitted he was “a terrible ballet dancer,” adding “I’m definitely not talented at dancing or ballet.”
He reckons he landed the roles because he was “in the right place at the right time” and “they needed a kid that could listen”.
The new movie follows Clark Kent struggle to balance his life with being a superhero, as billionaire Luthor attempts turn public opinion against him.
