Oasis Heaton Park gig sees ‘free concert’ for locals as they listen in from their gardens

As Oasis returned to Manchester for the first of their Heaton Park homecoming gigs, some fans have been able to listen for free from the comfort of their own homes

They may not have nabbed a ticket, but they’ve got a rather splendid view – from the back of their own garden.

Some fortunate fans have managed to enjoy Oasis’ first homecoming gig without spending a penny.

Oasis fever has taken hold as the band graced the Heaton Park stage for an incredibly special moment in music history – and the sun made an appearance for the grand event.

The legendary Manchester group, fronted by Liam and Noel Gallagher, launched the first of their shows at Heaton Park tonight (July 11) with nearly 80,000 fans present – many hailing from the city itself and others who have journeyed from across the globe for the unique gig.

The Manchester performances, set to run until July 20, follow the initial two nights of the Live ’25 tour in Cardiff last week.
