Real reason behind Billie Eilish’s jaw-dropping tour merchandise prices exposed

Billie Eilish is currently touring the UK and the What Was I Made For? songstress has spoken out to explain why her tour clothing merchandise is priced so highly

Billie Eilish has explained why her merchandise is so pricey.

The chart-topping singer previously opened up about how much she is charging fans to support her work and the reason why the prices are so high.

Eilish said: “The problem is to make sure that my clothing is being made well and ethically and with good materials, and is very sustainable, and that it feels good and is durable.”

The singer acknowledged that this makes her clothing more costly than usual, but the issue is close to her heart. She explained: “I’m trying to pick one of two evils.”

The accompanying merchandise for her Apple TV+ documentary The World’s A Little Blurry was mainly crafted from organic fabrics and produced in the US.

At the time, Billie said: “My hope is that by investing in more high-quality items, they will last for a much longer time, and we can all buy and consume less.”

“This is so important to me and I hope you love it as much as I do.”

In the upcoming London leg of her tour, Billie will host another instalment of her climate summit series Overheated, bringing together activists, musicians, and influential thinkers.

She also regularly partners with Support + Feed, a plant-based food organisation founded by her mother Maggie in 2020. The vegan mother-daughter duo aim to increase food security by encouraging large venues to make plant-based options more accessible and affordable.

Billie’s album Hit Me Hard And Soft release included eco-friendly packaging and vinyl copies pressed onto recycled materials and at the time, the singer said she “can’t just ignore what she knows” and continue “going about her business and career” while “not doing something”.
