Shortly after Drake performed at Wireless Festival in London on 13 July, one of his pals was involved in a horror incident that saw a large crowd storm his vehicle in the street
Drake’s friend was stabbed just minutes after watching the rapper perform at Wireless Festival.
Canadian rapper Top5, real name Hassan Ali, was reportedly stabbed in the leg by a group of people who surrounded his white Mercedes following the final night of Drake’s headline event.
Viral footage shows them climbing on top of the car while trying to smash the windscreen with their feet.
Shortly after, around three men begin kicking the car’s driver inside the car. Onlookers filmed the incident and a car next to Ali’s vehicle was also trampled with people.
After a few minutes the driver, with a smashed windscreen and boot wide open, managed to drive off.
It is believed that the rapper angered residents in the UK’s capital after saying: “There is no real killers in London,” on a live stream.
The Metropolitan Police said officers were called at around 12:15am 14 July after reports of a stabbing in Springpark Drive, close to Finsbury Park, were made.
Wireless Festival is hosted at Finsbury Park, North London in the borough of Haringey.
The Sun reported that a spokesperson said: “The victim, a man in his 20s was approached by a group who damaged his car before stabbing him in the leg.”
“He was taken to hospital and his injuries are not believed to be life-changing. Enquiries remain ongoing and no arrests have been made at this stage.”
Police are urging anyone with information to call 101 or reach out on X/Twitter and quote CAD105/17JULY.
On Instagram, DJ Akademics shared an image of the police report and wrote: “Pray for Top5, wish him a speedy recovery.”
Earlier in the evening, Top5 had taken to Instagram to share videos of himself in the VIP section watching Drake perform to the London crowd. The duo were also seen together playing basketball back in January as Ali described Drake, real name Aubrey Drake Graham, as his “twin”.
