Love Island’s Toni and Harrison could be in for a rough ride.
Toni recently recoupled with Harrison, but the dating show contestants have “not found joy” despite returning to one another after the rocky aftermath to Casa Amor.
Speaking on behalf of Fruity King, body language expert Inbaal Honigman analysed Toni’s body language and exclusively told Daily Star: “On the terrace [before the recoupling] Toni doesn’t want to listen. She indicates her reluctance in so many ways, putting her head in her hands, placing a hand between herself and Harrison, curling her face into a grimace.”
“Harrison has to keep talking and talking to break through Toni’s defences. He uses a lot of hand gestures, like a magician about to perform a trick, as he tries to distract her from using her logic.”
Later in the episode, all the girls were forced to to recouple with a boy of their choice. Toni stood up and chose Harrison, much to the shock of the rest of the villa.
After watching the jaw-dropping scene, Inbaal explained: “When Toni goes ahead with the recoupling, she’s still not certain that she’s doing the right thing. Her pout reveals that she’s still annoyed with Harrison and she breathes deeply, as if saying: ‘Here we go’, bracing herself as she makes a decision that could prove to be detrimental to her happiness.”
“Just before Toni says his name, Harrison’s lips are pulled so thin that they practically vanish. The disappearing lips indicate doubt, he’s not sure he’s doing the right thing.”
She then noticed something about their awkward embrace as all eyes watched in disbelief: “As they hug, they look away from each other. This is not romantic, neither of them smile throughout the entire scene. There’s no joy in their recoupling, it’s business.”
