EXCLUSIVE: Harrison shocked fans when he crawled back to Toni, and now his hidden motivations have been ‘exposed’ by an expert who suggests he could be being dishonest
Harrison’s ‘real’ intentions with Toni may have been exposed after the dramatic recoupling.
Love Island fans were shocked when Toni chose to recouple with former flame Harrison on Tuesday night (July 15). The pair have recently rekindled their romance in the villa, having admitted to still having feelings for one another.
But Tony left fans fuming when she decided to dump Cach and steal back Harrison, just hours after Harrison slept with Lauren. It’s now claimed Harrison only wants to pursue Toni after feeling she no longer wanted him.
Working with Fruity King, body language expert Inbaal Honigman analysed Harrison’s body language during his tense chat with Toni. She believes Harrison, who keeps changing his mind about which girl he wants, has shown signs of “deception”.
She told Daily Star of his chat with Harry: “The key to understanding Harrison’s motivation lies in his face-touching when he mentions that Toni was ‘washing her hands off him’. The sense of rejection caused him to see Toni in a different light. When he tells another boy in the bedroom that Toni was washing her hands off him, Harrison is seen face-touching, he’s pinching his nose, rubbing his eyebrow, touching his chin.
She continued: “This abundance of face touching gestures indicates that feels slightly stressed, and also that he is being dishonest. There’s a soothing element to face-touching, as the stroking moves are calming to the nervous face-toucher, but the hands on his face also serve the secondary purpose of hiding parts of the face, and this is a mark of deception.”
Inbaal concluded: “Harrison wants to be with Toni because she doesn’t want him anymore. He’s not suddenly realised that she’s the girl for him, at all.”
The body language buff also noticed a distance between Toni and Harrison – claiming Toni showed signs of “reluctance” towards him during their terrace chat. During the conversation, he told her: “I understand I’ve been a bit of a d*** the last few days but I feel like I owed it to myself to explore. I just wanted to let you know how I feel — I still like you.”
Inbaal said of Toni’s feelings towards Harrison: “On the terrace, Toni doesn’t want to listen. She indicates her reluctance in so many ways, putting her head in her hands, placing a hand between herself and Harrison, curling her face into a grimace. Harrison has to keep talking and talking to break through Toni’s defences. He uses a lot of hand gestures, like a magician about to perform a trick, as he tries to distract her from using her logic.”
She reckoned Toni was still unsure with her decision to pick Harrison in the recoupling. “When Toni goes ahead with the recoupling, she’s still not certain that she’s doing the right thing,” she explained. “Her pout reveals that she’s still annoyed with Harrison, and she breathes deeply, as if saying ‘here we go’, bracing herself as she makes a decision that could prove to be detrimental to her happiness.
Suggesting the pair are in for a rocky road ahead, she added: “Just before Toni says his name, Harrison’s lips are pulled so thin that they practically vanish. The disappearing lips indicate doubt. He’s not sure he’s doing the right thing. As they hug, they look away from each other. This is not romantic. Neither of them smile throughout the entire scene. There’s no joy in their recoupling, it’s business.”
“Harrison’s vanishing lips return when Lauren recouples, he is still doubtful about how this is all turning out. As Lauren collapses in tears, held by the other girls, Toni’s face drops, also confused and upset, but nobody is holding her, so she puts her hand to her forehead, comforting herself.”
