Katie Price has opened up about a recent awkward encounter with passport control at Dubai Airport, which she said was due to her appearance
Katie Price has revealed she was pulled aside by airport security and taken to a room because of how she looked. Speaking with her sister Sophie Price on The Katie Price Show, the ex-glamour model shared a “funny” tale about her time in an airport security queue. She explained that the officials “kept looking” at her, which made her feel “awkward,” and “more twitchy.” She was then whisked away to what she called a “visa place” and told to park herself on a chair.
Despite feeling like she hadn’t “done anything wrong”, Katie complied, took a seat, and passed the time watching “horse videos”, seemingly chilled about the whole situation.
With an hour and a half before her flight, she preferred the quiet spot over roaming the airport with the “anxiety that people are looking.”
She recounted: “And then the man come back. I dunno what they do to check your passport, whether they Google your name or whatever, but then the police guy came back with a big grin on his face – was like, ‘Hi’.
“I said, ‘I don’t look like my passport picture because I’ve had my face done so many times. I look different. Yeah, and they went, ‘No, no. You’re all fine. You’re all fine.
“I went, ‘Do you think I need to change my passport for a new one and a new picture? I said, ‘Because this happens all the time’, because my passport picture is so old, I don’t look like it.”
Sophie joked: “Well, it depends if you’re going to keep changing your face.”
Katie also mentioned she has trouble with electronic passport checks because of her plastic surgery, which often prompt “seek assistance” as they “obviously” fail to “recognise” her.
Describing such incidents as a “b******e”, Katie shared that in Dubai, she took it as a “compliment” because when people “look” at her age, she doesn’t “really look like that”.
In recent snaps from Dubai, Katie flaunted her toned physique and enhanced derriere in a bikini aboard a yacht. Despite complications from a previous Brazilian Butt Lift (BBL), Katie vowed not to undergo the procedure again this year.
Yet, reports suggest Katie has reconsidered and plans to have more filler added this summer. She discussed the ordeal of one such operation on the Katherine Ryan: Telling Everybody Everything podcast.
She recounted: “I tried that BBL abroad where they take your own fat and put it in your bum. It was so painful. And it just did not look right on me.”
