Love Island’s Olivia Attwood has been left in tears after her £1 million home was broken into while she was in Spain for work, with a group of “scumbags” smashing a window to get in
Olivia Attwood was seen shedding tears as she updated fans on an attempted burglary at her home.
The 34-year-old telly presenter was in Spain filming a new project when her £1m pad – which she shares with hubby Bradley Dack – was targeted by a gang of crooks.
Now, in an update shared on Instagram, Olivia has spoken out about the “rage” she’s feeling following the frightening ordeal. Dressed in workout gear, she disclosed that she’d been up early hitting the gym to help process some of those emotions.
“Our house got broken into last night and I just did a 5am gym sesh because I need to get rid of some of the rage and I need to get ready for the busiest f****** day of my life,” she stated in a video posted to Instagram reels.
“So obviously I can’t go into too much detail because it’s like an open investigation now but basically some scumbags smashed a second floor window, went in. Security team got the notification within like 30 seconds. They were there in two minutes with dogs and the little scumbags ran off,” she continued.
“They nicked some stuff but they didn’t get what they came for and now I have to just put on a brave face because it’s a really important work day and I feel a bit knackered. A bit emotional but yeah. Brave face!”, reports the Mirror.
Later in the video, Olivia is seen dabbing away tears alongside the caption: “Tired crying not sad lol I don’t do sad.”
Olivia revealed her home had been burgled earlier in the week with an Instagram post, stating: “That’s why we pay through the nose for private security.
“On site in 2 minutes with dog team and the incredible nw police force not far behind. We saw your face, we have your foot prints and finger prints. And sorry what you were looking for isn’t actually kept at the property.”
The break-in comes during a hectic period for the former Love Island star, who is set to make her presenting debut on This Morning. She was recently announced as one of the new stars providing holiday cover for Ben Shephard and Cat Deeley.
However, Olivia’s new role could lead to an awkward encounter with ex Chris Hughes, a regular roving reporter on the show since his appearance on Celebrity Big Brother.
A source revealed: “Olivia coming on board to front the show for several dates over the next few weeks feels like a huge blow to him.
“He doesn’t want to have to do live crosses to his ex in front of the nation – it’s so awkward and he feels like the viewers will be scrutinising their every interaction and every little facial expression will be analysed. It’s the last thing he wants.”
