Love Island star Maura Higgins has given fans a look inside her stunning new Essex home after confirming she has ‘finally’ moved in following a ‘busy few months’
Former Love Islander Maura Higgins has given fans a look into her new £1.2million home as she confirms that she “finally” moved in.
The Irish star announced at the end of last year that she had purchased her “dream home”, but has not been able to move in. Now, The Traitors star has shared that she’s “finally” settled into her ideal residence after a whirlwind few months. The home, located in Essex, was pictured in a recent snap shared to her social media.
Maura’s Instagram displayed a photo of her sleek kitchen, featuring a bottle of bubbly and a congratulations card reading: “Happy new home.” She captioned the post: “After the busiest few months… she’s finally in.”
In another shot, she posted a picture of close friend and stylist Carl Bembridge, joking: “No chairs yet but he always finds something to sit on.”
Previous reports indicate that the stunning five-bedroom detached property, situated in a gated development, is valued at around £1.2million. Maura was keen to purchase a home with ample security, with her previous property having been broken into.
In 2023, an insider told The Sun that three men wearing masks broke into her home. They recalled: “Neighbours caught it all on CCTV and it was chilling to see three masked men ram through the gates and start trying to break into cars.
“Maura has lived in her gated community for three years and said she no longer feels safe.”
Since then, the move was orchestrated with security in mind. Back in October, Maura shared the news of purchase. She shared a photo of her kitchen, which had a huge chandelier and grey floors. She captioned the Instagram Story: “Bought my dream home.”
Not much has changed in the recent photos, with the lavish open-plan kitchen and dining area boasting marble-effect cabinets, a state-of-the-art kitchen island, and a dazzling glass chandelier with tassels suspended from an overhead skylight.
The property also features large bi-folding doors which open out into a large garden area. It is thought that the property is just half an hour from her TOWIE ex, Pete Wicks.
Maura bought her house shortly before she entered the I’m a Celebrity Jungle in November 2024. While the amount she earned is undisclosed, it is thought her Love Island career created millions for the influencer.
Maura entered the Love Island villa in 2019 and after almost six years in the spotlight, she has supposedly bagged a fortune of an estimated £3.2million.
Before the jungle, she also bought herself a £60,000 Porsche. At the time, she shared a photo of the all-white car interior and added: “My baby has arrived finally,” along with a white heart emoji.
