Amelia Dimoldenberg is reportedly set to lead her own TV series, set to premiere between late 2025 and early 2026
Amelia Dimoldenberg, the host of Chicken Shop Date, is rumoured to be in discussions for her own Apple TV series.
The 31-year-old comedian first gained recognition a decade ago with her popular YouTube show, where she’s interviewed big names such as Idris Elba, Ben Stiller, Sabrina Carpenter and Andrew Garfield.
With a whopping 3.17 million subscribers on YouTube, Amelia’s web series – hailed by fans as “the best show on YouTube” – features laid-back celebrity interviews set in Morley’s and other chicken shops across London. Now it seems Apple TV is keen to tap into Amelia’s substantial fan base.
An insider spilled the beans to The Sun’s TV column: “Apple knows it will have a ready-made audience for her show, which is expected to drop on the streamer later this year or early 2026.
“Amelia also has a long list of famous fans who’ve been clamouring to get interviewed by her.
“It’s not clear yet exactly what format any new Apple show would take, but it’s guaranteed to continue in a similar vein to her previous work which sees her casually and naturally meeting with some of the world’s most famous people.”
The source added: “It was only a matter of time before one of the streamers came along and harnessed her huge social media influence,” reports the Mirror.
Her Chicken Shop Date episode featuring Andrew Garfield caused quite a stir on social media, racking up an impressive 11 million views. Fans were captivated by their chemistry and playful banter, sparking rumours that the pair might be more than just friends.
However, Amelia later clarified that they are just friends.
The social media sensation’s popularity has soared beyond YouTube, as she is frequently spotted interviewing film stars on red carpets at prestigious events such as the Golden Globe Awards and the Oscars.
Amelia has also graced Channel 4’s Taskmaster’s New Year’s Treat, sharing the screen with Carol Vorderman, Greg James, and Sir Mo Farah.
She has participated in Celebrity Come Dine With Me and The Great Stand Up to Cancer Bake Off, where she pitted her baking prowess against presenter Sarah Beeny, actress Maxine Peake, and that week’s Star Baker, Roman Kemp.
The London-born comedian has also achieved TikTok fame with an interview featuring Chelsea footballer Cole Palmer.
Chicken Shop Date is available to stream on YouTube.
