Britain’s Got Talent judge Amanda Holden unveiled her secret weapon to fend off any thieves thinking of raiding her family home while she and her family are abroad
Amanda Holden prepared to jet off on her summer holidays with her family by firing a six-word warning to potential burglars wanting to raid her home. On a recent episode of Heart Breakfast, her co-host Jamie Theakston asked if she was excited about her upcoming break and she replied that she “cannot wait”.
Amanda, who is jetting off with husband Chris Hughes and daughters Lexi and Hollie, has enjoyed plenty of overseas trips in the past year, including visits to Barbados, Dubai and Corfu.
However, her latest getaway won’t have her worried about security – and for good reason. She also issued a cautionary message to would-be burglars.
During the show, Jamie asked her: “Amanda, you’re off on holiday. I bet you can’t wait?” She responded: “I cannot wait. Me and the children and my gorgeous husband, we are gone! But don’t go and burgle my house because it’s gonna be full up with people. So, just giving you a little note.”
Earlier this year, Amanda stunned fans when she was mistaken for her teenage daughters’ sister in a photo taken in Barbados. In the snapshot, she wore a black dress while the family enjoyed dinner.
Amanda captioned the post “Me and my girls” along with a black heart emoji, prompting fans to flood the comment section with admiration for the Britain’s Got Talent judge.
One fan described the photo as a “gorgeous family pic”, noting that they “look like sisters”, and adding that “Hollie has grown into a stunning young lady.”
Many others agreed, with a stream of positive comments and red heart emojis. Another fan simply referred to them as “sisters” and added “gorgeous”, while a third called them “knockouts”.
Back in April, Amanda made headlines with a striking red dress she wore in Dubai while on holiday with her family. She shared various photos of her outfit choices on Instagram, which drew praise from other celebrities, including Strictly Come Dancing’s Tess Daly and Loose Women’s Ruth Langsford, who both posted flame emojis.
In a separate moment, Amanda reportedly had an embarrassing moment when she accidentally flashed her workmen.
During an appearance on Heart Radio, she revealed that she had set up a time-lapse camera outside her home while doing some gardening work.
However, the electrician later told her that the camera had been rolling for a few days, much to Amanda’s surprise, as she admitted she’s “always naked in her back garden”.
“No word of a lie, I have definitely been naked and then for a joke the other day, I was sorting something out in the garden and my husband waved at me from the bedroom window, and I flashed my boobs at him!” she confessed.
Amanda claimed she was completely unaware the camera was recording and is now worried, saying: “Now Andy’s [the workman] going to be reviewing this footage, and I need it all deleted!”
