Brooklyn Beckham’s ongoing feud with his famous parents, David and Victoria, doesn’t appear to be slowing down as he continues to bask in the glory of his billionaire father-in-law
Brooklyn Beckham’s rift with his famous parents, David and Victoria Beckham, shows no signs of abating as he seems to enjoy the perks of his billionaire father-in-law. The 26-year-old hot sauce entrepreneur has been embroiled in a family dispute with his parents while standing by his wife Nicola Peltz.
The relationship between the Beckhams has been strained since Brooklyn and Nicola missed David’s 50th birthday party in May. Brooklyn further snubbed his father on Father’s Day and when David received his long-awaited knighthood.
The fallout appears to have trickled down the family line, with Brooklyn’s younger brothers Romeo and Cruz unfollowing him on social media. Amid the drama, Brooklyn seems to be spending more time with his in-laws, even going on holiday with them.
He enjoyed a luxurious getaway aboard an £85million, 80-metre yacht named Project X in Saint-Tropez. The yacht was rented by Nicola’s parents, Nelson and Claudia Peltz, costing them a whopping £1.2million per week.
Brooklyn narrowly avoided bumping into his parents when they arrived at the same French dock two days later – reportedly unbeknownst to him. They arrived on a £16million, 40-metre vessel named Seven, reports the Mirror.
“Brooklyn’s yacht dwarfs the one owned by David and Victoria. It’s a financial flex,” a source told the Sun. “Their relationship is beyond soured now but Brooklyn has really landed on his feet.”
Brooklyn Beckham appears to be embracing his new family ties with wife Nicola Peltz’s relatives, particularly her parents, Nelson and Claudia. The Beckhams, who own a yacht half the size of the Peltz’s rented vessel, are currently in Saint-Tropez with their children Romeo, Cruz, and Harper.
However, a source claims Brooklyn was unaware that his parents, David and Victoria, would be arriving in Saint-Tropez two days later.
Despite this, the couple reportedly had a lovely time, enjoying the hospitality provided by Nelson. Brooklyn has been sharing snapshots of his trip on social media, including moments with Nelson, such as drinking beer together and embracing in a hug.
This comes amid claims that Brooklyn has grown closer to his in-laws, feeling that they have welcomed him with open arms. A source revealed that he has become “so close” to Nicola’s family, particularly after feeling that his own family hasn’t treated her well.
The insider stated: “He just doesn’t feel his family have treated Nicola well and now that he’s grown so close to her family in the States, he doesn’t really feel like he fits into the Beckham family right now.”
As rumours of tension between Brooklyn and his parents persist, it’s reported that he met with his godfather, Sir Elton John, who attempted to act as a “peacemaker” during a lunch meeting in Cannes with Brooklyn and Nicola. Elton is reported to “adore” Brooklyn and enjoys a good “laugh” with Nicola, who he believes possesses a “great” sense of humour.
An insider revealed to the Sun: “[Elton’s] utterly neutral in this row. Elton and David think the situation is terribly sad, and has gently suggested to all involved that life is short – and to patch things up.”
The source mentioned that the group had a “really fun long lunch” despite the challenging discussion.
