Katie Price’s kitten dies hours after being born as star makes ‘sad’ confession

Katie Price has taken to social media to share an update on her pregnant cat and relayed the sad news that one of her kittens died just hours after being born

Katie Price’s kitten has died.

The former glamour model shared her latest heartbreaking pet news on social media and explained that while Doris delivered “so many” kittens, one tragically passed away.

In her latest Snapchat post, the mother-of-five revealed she has skipped a family getaway to the Isle of Wight to care for the newborns and has been maintaining consistent feeding schedules and utilising heated blankets.

Yet in her update, Katie shared some “sad news” accompanied by four tearful emojis: “An update on the kittens, one unfortunately died. That’s the one wrapped in tissue, two hours after we fed it.”

“Luckily, I’m trying to help the kittens latch on to the mum; two are just about doing it, but I’m having to put them on it because they are so premature,” reports the Mirror.

Katie said that she is “knackered” and has to feed the kittens “every two and a half hours throughout the day and night”.

She continued: “She’s a good mum and then she keeps bringing one to the bed with her; she did that earlier. I think that was a sign to come and look in the box as one had died.”

Luckily Katie has managed to “get two latching onto her now” before sweeping the camera towards Doris and gently saying: “Hey Doris, good girl.”

Only days before, Katie had confided in her sister Sophie during their podcast that she felt “scared” about what could unfold during her pet’s pregnancy: “Doris is pregnant and I don’t know how many weeks she is but her belly has gotten bigger and bigger. I’ve noticed she’s been nesting and she keeps wanting to get on me.”

“I’ve gone and bought a separate cat litter, another bed, and all of that. I’m going to set it up in my room and leave her in my room because I’ve got the other cats, and I’m scared that if she goes into labour they might eat the kittens.”
