Pete Wicks has been caught up in a fiery romance – and was compelled to confess he’s already smitten.
The 36-year-old reality star is notorious for his flirtatious antics and his romantic escapades took centre stage during his stint on ITV’s The Only Way Is Essex, between 2015 until 2022. Even beyond Towie, his love life has garnered attention both in front of the camera and behind the scenes.
Pete has appeared on E4’s tumultuous reality dating show Celebs Go Dating three times – gracing the programme in 2019, 2020 and 2022. This follows reports of all the celebrities rumoured to be joining BBC Strictly Come Dancing 2025.
He made waves last year when he started dating Love Island stunner Maura Higgins – their relationship unfolding while he was competing on the BBC’s Strictly Come Dancing and she was heading Down Under to appear on ITV’s I’m A Celebrity… Get Me Out Of Here!
However, their romance abruptly ended earlier this year, with Maura causing a media storm in March when she was spotted sharing a passionate kiss with married McFly star Danny Jones. In the ensuing months, Pete has managed to keep his love life out of the spotlight – but that’s all changed now, reports the Mirror.
The celebrity hosts a podcast called Staying Relevant alongside Made In Chelsea star Sam Thompson. During a recent episode, the infamous charmer was compelled to confess he is secretly courting a new woman.
The revelation emerged when Pete underwent a lie detector test with his co-host. Whilst answering questions, Sam turned playful and enquired: “Are you in love with somebody right now?”
When Pete responded “No,” he was caught out as the polygraph indicated he wasn’t being truthful.
The result thrilled Sam, who burst out: “Ahhh I knew it! And that’s all we’re going to say.”
A shocked Pete then responded: “How could you do that to me?”
However, Sam then quipped: “I don’t know, it just came to my head, it’s a f****** lie.”
He then announced: “Pete’s in love with somebody. Find her! Find her! Pete’s in love secretly and I think I know who it is.”
Nevertheless, it appears Sam cornered Pete – as the Towie icon moaned: “You know exactly who it is, I literally told you the f****** story, she’s not replied.”
He then raged: “Why would you put that one in there? That was not on the f****** list!” Eager to move the questioning along, Pete added: “Are we f****** done with me now?”
Whilst the lads didn’t reveal any names, Pete has been most recently connected to Love Island star Samantha Kenny – after they were photographed in an embrace outside a Mayfair nightclub at the end of March. This came after his relationship with Maura reached a dramatic conclusion in February following claims he had strayed.
However, the subsequent month saw Maura igniting allegations of being a home-wrecker when she was spotted sharing a kiss with pop singer Danny – who has been married to model Georgia Horsley since 2014.
