Big Brother winner Anthony Hutton has asked fellow barbers if they’ve ever been through the same thing, asking if there’s anything that can be done to prevent it
Big Brother champ Anthony Hutton has opened up about a specific issue he faces as a barber. The Geordie lad won the classic reality show in 2005 after an infamous hot tub romp with Makosi Musambasi and a sweet friendship with Craig Coates Anthony is a successful barber by trade and went back to the job after winning the £50,000 prize.
However he has opened up on TikTok about the “stigma” surrounding one thing in the profession – something he calls “barber d***”. In a video, he spoke to fellow male barbers and hairdressers, explaining it had happened to him the day before.
He said: “This is something that has happened many times over the course of my hair career and it never gets spoken about and it has a huge stigma. I’m talking about barber’s d***.
“Yesterday in the barbers chair, a client, he slightly grazed my penis with his hand, by accident, it was a genuine mistake.
“There was a round about a 15-second silence, awkward silence. I broke the silence touching on the football transfer window.”
He went on: “This is something that has happened to me many times in my career with a client’s elbow or hand. It’s always a genuine mistake.”
The 43-year-old went on to ask if any other barbers had experienced the same thing, adding: “I know I’m not the only one.
“Barber d*** is a real thing, and can we do anything to prevent this? Let’s get this out there and see if we can stop barber dick cos it’s a real thing.”
Followers gave their thoughts, with one saying: “Happened many times at barbers and dentist, no big deal they have to get close to do their job properly.”
Another said: “It is a difficult thing, as you sit on the chair with arms on the arm rests and yes brushes past then as they stand next to you. Only way to stop it fully is to remove the arm rests.”
While another joked: “It’s my favourite thing about going.”
However many others joked about Anthony’s former co-star Craig Coates, who appeared to have a crush on him while they were in the Big Brother house.
One joked: “Craig is heading to the salon as we speak.”
Another asked: “Was it Craig?” As another added: “Are you sure it wasn’t Craig?”
Craig, who was also a hairdresser and opened up a salon in Norfolk, quit the trade and in 2013 joined the Royal Navy.
However, according to Facebook, he returned to hairdressing in 2021, now happily married to husband Joe.
