Helen Flanagan wowed fans in a plunging dress – with many praising her confidence and style, even as a few critics claimed her bold look might embarrass her son
Helen Flanagan has never been one to fade into the background and her latest Instagram post proves she’s still got that head-turning talent.
The former Coronation Street favourite, 34, wowed her 1m followers in a chic sage-green strapless mini dress that showed off her fabulous figure. She paired the look with sky-high heels before getting ready for a night of glitz and glamour.
While many fans flooded her comments with fire emojis and praise, a small handful couldn’t resist having a pop. One grumbled that her son would be “mortified” if she wore such a plunging neckline, while another tutted about “keeping things covered”.
But Helen’s fans weren’t having any of it as dozens jumped in to defend her, saying she looked “absolutely stunning” and “every inch the goddess”. One fan wrote: “Ignore the negativity, you’re beautiful inside and out.” Another added: “You’ve had three kids and still look like this? Goals!”
The mum-of-three has been refreshingly open about her body journey and after breastfeeding her children, she treated herself to breast enhancement surgery in 2023, something she’s been clear was a personal choice for her own self-esteem. She has previously commented: “I just wanted to feel confident in clothes again.”
The reaction to her latest outfit has once again sparked a conversation about mum-shaming and double standards. Plenty of her followers were quick to point out that dads rarely get the same level of scrutiny for their appearance.
Helen hasn’t addressed the criticism directly but judging by her latest look, she’s not planning to change her glam style any time soon.
