ITV is planning to bring back the All Stars spin-off series of I’m A Celebrity… Get Me Out Of Here! and a number of familiar faces are being lined up to take part
I’m A Celebrity… Get Me Out Of Here! is reportedly plotting to bring boxing legend David Haye back to the jungle for their upcoming All Stars spin-off series.
The former heavyweight champion, 44, originally entered the Australian wilderness during the ITV reality show’s twelfth series in 2012. Now he could be making a comeback as one of the celebrity contestants for the special edition that sees previous participants return for another helping of gruelling bushtucker trials.
Bosses are now reportedly assembling a roster of beloved former campmates for a second venture into the wilderness – with David amongst the most sought-after names being courted for the programme.
It comes after The Sun revealed the former boxer is in a battle with the taxman over unpaid debts of almost £600,000.
During his previous stint, he secured third place, finishing behind victorious EastEnders star Charlie Brooks and Pussycat Dolls’ Ashley Roberts who claimed the runner-up spot.
Since his jungle adventure, David’s television career has flourished with appearances on programmes such as The Big Narstie Show and his own David Haye versus series, where he interviewed and trained alongside A-list celebrities.
An insider revealed to The Sun: “David was delighted to get the call from ITV. As viewers know, no chats are off-limits around the campfire, so they can expect to see David grilled over his quirky relationships.”
The new season of the ITV show is set to commence filming in the autumn, with a host of former contestants returning to the wilderness to survive on basic rations.
Among those linked to the upcoming season are football legend Harry Redknapp, 78, who was crowned champion in 2018, and Gemma Collins, 44, who famously left the show after just three days in 2014.
A slew of familiar faces are anticipated to fly to Australia in November to film the next instalment of the main I’m A Celeb series. This will mark the 25th edition of the show, which first graced our screens back in 2002.
Presenters Ant McPartlin and Declan Donnelly will once again journey Down Under to oversee the terrifying trials, coaxing the celebs into consuming repugnant meals and beverages. The 2024 season saw McFly frontman Danny Jones emerge victorious.
Also rumoured to be entering is Coronation Street star Aadi Alahan (Adam Hussain). The character has been a staple on the cobbles since his first appearance way back in 2006, along with his twin sister Asha (Tanisha Gorey), but Adam took over the role in 2020. Fans have been preparing for Aadi’s exit since April, when actor Adam Hussain confirmed that he had left the ITV soap.
Bookies Betway are convinced he will head into the I’m A Celebrity jungle later this year and spokesperson Mike Reading told us: “Adam Hussain looks set for a brand new adventure beyond Coronation Street.”
He explained: “With the I’m A Celeb lineup still firmly under wraps, we have priced him up at 7/1 to swap the Rovers Return for bugs, rice, and beans.”
The inaugural All Stars series, branded I’m a Celebrity… South Africa, broadcast in 2023 with Myleene Klass taking the crown.
