Peter Andre has detailed the heart-breaking question his eight-year-old son Theo asked him on family holiday, as he remains tight-lipped on his ‘feud’ with Katie Price
Peter Andre has shared that his eight-year-old son Theo posed a poignant question during their family holiday last week. The Mysterious Girl singer, 52, used his weekly column in New! Magazine to give fans an update on their Cyprus getaway with wife Emily MacDonagh and their children, where Theo asked if they could relocate there permanently.
This comes after Peter made headlines due to his tense relationship with ex-wife Katie Price, following their daughter Princess’s debut on her own ITV show. Katie alleges she’s been sidelined from the show by Peter and his management. Meanwhile, Princess Andre recently asserted her independence from her parents as she finally spoke out amid the controversy.
Brushing off the drama, Peter reflected on his holiday, saying: “We’re home from beautiful Cyprus and life is back to normal. It’s always incredible spending time with the family, especially in our Cyprus home because they have been going there since they were babies. It actually got too hot because there was a heatwave and it knocked us for six – even I struggled with it. But Theo in particular was very sad to leave and, as always, asked if we could stay or even move there.
“Sadly, life doesn’t always work like that and school is starting again soon! But he’ll be counting the days until we can return – hopefully when it’s a bit cooler.”
Peter is father to Theo, Amelia and Arabella with wife Emily, plus eldest offspring Princess and Junior with Katie. Though he remained tight-lipped about the recent furore involving Princess, he did express in his column just how chuffed he is with the 18-year-old, reports the Mirror.
“I’m extremely proud of Princess and her show. I think she’s absolutely smashed it. She’s come across just how she is and how we know her to be – funny, quirky and kind. The response to The Princess Diaries has been phenomenal,” he revealed.
The vocalist went on to say: “But even though her early success is fantastic, all I really want is for her to be happy. Hopefully, she can do season two, three, four – whatever she wants to do – and soar like an eagle because she’s a great kid and I’m so proud of her.”
Whilst Katie frequently speaks openly about her children and former partner Peter, he typically remains quiet about their past relationship. Nevertheless, following Katie’s recent podcast claims that their children reside with her, alongside other allegations, Peter posted a statement on Instagram.
He penned: “For 16 years, I have stayed silent in the face of repeated lies from my ex-wife and her family, out of respect for my children and loved ones, but staying silent has been incredibly frustrating. That ends today.
“The latest comments about my children’s welfare and living arrangements compel me to set the record straight. For well-documented reasons, and for their safety, Junior and Princess came into my care in 2018 and remained with me until they reached adulthood. In 2019, the family courts issued a legally binding order to enforce this arrangement.”
He continued: “I have never made this public before, out of respect for my children.”
He proceeded to reveal that the courts determined Katie “had made false claims” on two separate occasions, in 2011 and 2015, and that “she was ordered to pay substantial damages and legal costs, and to apologise to me and my management”.
In a final blow, Peter hinted this was merely the beginning of his counter-attack, declaring that her “baseless accusations” would be “dealt with in the coming months”.
