Former The Only Way is Essex star Ricky Rayment has revealed the heartbreaking news that his elder sister, Lisa Kempley, has passed away at the age of 56. He broke the tragic news to his followers this week after a memorial service for the late makeup artist.
Ricky, 34, shared details about attending her funeral in Essex earlier today, providing a picture of the order of service which showcased a cheerful photo of Lisa on the front cover. The programme disclosed that Lisa had sadly passed away nearly four weeks ago, on 25th July.
The reality TV personality honoured his sister in an Instagram post shared this evening following the ceremony.
His heartfelt message read: “RIP my beautiful sister. You got the send off you deserved.”
He concluded with: “Love you forever.”
Lisa’s passing was initially announced via a post on her business page on the social media platform earlier this month, reports the Mirror.
The announcement stated: “We are saddened to announce that our lovely Lisa passed away on Friday 25th July. We know she was truly loved by friends and clients alike and therefore want to extend an open invitation to attend her funeral service.”
The post further described Lisa as an “Irreplaceable wife, mum, sister, daughter, friend and eyebrow queen.”
Several celebrities expressed their condolences in response to the post. Ricky’s former co-star Jess Wright commented: “I’m so so sorry. Sending so much love.”
Love Island’s Georgia Harrison responded with: “Love you so much Lisa.”
Expressing their condolences, another person commented: “This is heartbreaking news. Sending you all so much love.”
A different follower responded to the post on the platform earlier this month: “Just the most beautiful, kind person. Just heartbreaking.”
The announcement contained details regarding her funeral arrangements and suggested charitable contributions in Lisa’s honour. It read: “The family would be grateful for any donations to be made to St Clare Hospice and the charity Target Ovarian Cancer.”
Ricky made his TV debut on the fourth series of TOWIE in January 2012. He was a main cast member until season 14, making his final appearance in the episode broadcast on 5 April 2015
He then took the acting world by storm and recently played Dominic in the action film Dead Ringer, which was released on 25 June 2018.
