Reality star Katie Price and her MAFS UK star boyfriend JJ Slater have sparked split rumours on several occasions, but it’s said she needs him now “more than ever”
Katie Price has reportedly been telling people she won’t let her boyfriend JJ Slater “betray” her.
Katie and the MAFS UK star confirmed their romance last February, but she’s been forced to deny rumours that they’ve split on several occasions. However, it’s said she’s very much set on JJ and “needs him now more than ever” given all the controversy that she’s had in recent weeks.
“It’s been a really difficult time for Katie, and she’s been telling people she won’t let JJ betray her too,” a source told the Mirror. “The last thing she needs is a break-up, with everything else that’s going on. JJ has always been dependable, and she’s realised that a good relationship doesn’t have all the arguing and drama, so she needs him now more than ever.”
The source suggested that Katie is keen on making her relationship with JJ work out. The source added: “She feels like it’s her against the world at the moment, so she needs JJ on her side.
“She can’t let him leave her too. Katie feels under siege with everything that’s happened recently, she’s really in the firing line. She feels bullied and ganged up on, so she needs JJ’s support now more than ever.”
Katie’s been locked in a heated (and very public) feud with her ex-husband, Peter Andre. The pair split in 2009 after four years together and share son Junior, 20, and daughter Princess, 18.
Peter hit out at the ex-glamour model in a furious statement accusing her of telling “repeated lies”. He slammed her recent “comments” about his children’s “welfare and living arrangements” and declared he was going to “set the record straight” after “staying silent” 16 years.
Katie then hit back at the singer with a statement of her own. While she did not name Peter it would appear that she was talking about ‘fake saints’ and people who “play the victim”.
She claimed she was excluded from Princess’ new ITV2 show, The Princess Diaries. Katie also revealed she is “upset” that Princess signed with Peter’s management team – and alleged she was not invited to Princess’ 18th birthday party because of the doc.
Princess issued her own statement on her parents’ feud during a social media Q&A. She told fans: “To be honest it doesn’t affect me. At the end of the day, they broke up when I was two years old so I don’t even have any memory of them being together. I love my mum and dad and that’s all that matters.”
Katie has dubbed JJ “my absolutely everything”. She told Paul C Brunson on his We Need To Talk podcast in May that “JJ is the most kind, genuine, easygoing, chilled person”.
The pair sparked speculation that they’d split earlier this summer, with claims that the former glamour model had grown “bored” of JJ. She also deleted all traces of him from her social media.
The source had claimed: “Katie and JJ have decided to go their separate ways, with JJ having already packed his bags and moved out. Ultimately, Katie’s gotten bored. Friends and family had been warning JJ for a while that he’d lost his sparkle and that she treated him like a doormat.”
However, last month she put the rumours to bed with a snap of JJ that proved they were still an item. On her Instagram stories, she posted a photo showing JJ at work on a laptop.
Pricey has been married three times, and has said the men in her life as her biggest “downfall”. She was married to Peter, Kieran Hayler and Alex Reid – she was also engaged to Carl Woods before they called it off.
