The 47-year-old reality star has decided to hit the studio and give her music career another go after her 2017 song, I Got U, unexpectedly flew into the charts. The track hit number one on the iTunes chart and number three in the UK Top 40.

Her song Hurricane also reached number six in the iTunes chart. It didn’t go unnoticed by Katie, who celebrated the success with her fans and said it was a dream come true.

And now she’s decided to capitalise on her recent musical success by releasing another song. She took to social media to give fans a sneak peek at her newest song, which she’s been working on with producer Rick Live.

Katie was beaming in the booth in a snap shared on Instagram. She threw up a peace sign as she stood over the microphone while wearing headphones.

The mum-of-five announced she had just finished recording her new song, which she’ll be hoping follows I Got U up the charts. She captioned the pic: “Back in the studio, just recorded my new single.”

In another photo, taken of the microphone in the recording booth, she declared it was “great to be back”. She also gave fans on Snapchat a sneak peek at the track, which is named Broken.

Katie managed to beat the likes of Ed Sheeran, K-Pop Demon Hunters and Chappell Roan on Global’s Big Top 40 on Sunday (August 31), with I Got U reaching No3. Fans of Katie on TikTok had started a campaign to get Pricey to number one.

Rick told The Sun: “This was all completely unexpected. My phone started blowing up and I had about 60 missed calls and a load of text messages from people saying ‘you’re back in the charts’.

“It’s mad. Katie’s absolutely buzzing about it, we both are.” He said the song is perfect for Katie as it highlights how she always bounces back after setbacks in her life.

He added: “For her it’s about being broken, but putting herself back together again. She says it is something that is quite relevant to her because every time things have gone wrong – whether she’s broken her legs or her relationship’s gone sideways or her exes are blowing up again – she’s like, ‘no, don’t worry about it. I’ll reset. I’ll put myself back together again. It’s fine.'”

Katie’s recently had very public feuds with her ex-husbands, such as Peter Andre who released a bombshell statement about the care of their shared children.

Sharing her shock at I Got U’s chart success, Katie said on Instagram: “Number three in the charts, official charts, thank you every one! I am so humbled, thank you.”

A representative told The Sun: “This is a massive surprise for Kate, she’s always loved singing and this is a dream come true! She is having so much support from the public and can’t thank them enough for her latest entrance into the charts.”
