Reality star Katie Price has spoken out against those ‘trying to dig her out’ ahead of her brand new single, after her 2017 song flew to number three in the charts
Katie Price seemingly took a swipe at her exes such as Peter Andre after her surprise chart success.
The 47-year-old reality star got quite the shock when her 2017 song, I Got U, unexpectedly flew into the charts. The track hit number one on the iTunes chart and number three in the Big Top 40.
Her song Hurricane also reached number six in the iTunes chart. And Pricey has wasted no time at all in capitalising on her recent success by hitting the studio and giving her pop career another go – she’s already recorded her new single which is out next week.
And it would appear she’s hit out at the exes she’s been (very publicly) feuding with, such as Peter Andre and Alex Reid. She slammed those who have ‘tried to dig her out’, declaring it won’t affect her and will only garner her more support.
She said on the latest episode of her Katie Price podcast: “It just goes to show, whoever and whoever tries to dig me out, people who try and dig me out, it makes no difference because if anything it’s making people want to support me more and lets be honest anything possible could have been said about me.
“I’ve held my hand up to so much and I love it. “It’s so nice when I got out, yesterday I was with my youngest in a shop and I was like ‘how does it feel when people keep coming up to you’, but I love it – I’m on cloud space and I can’t thank them enough.”
Peter hit out at the ex-glamour model in a furious statement accusing her of telling “repeated lies”. He slammed her recent “comments” about his children’s “welfare and living arrangements” and declared he was going to “set the record straight” after “staying silent” 16 years.
Katie then clapped back at her ex-husband with a statement of her own. While she did not name Peter it would appear that she was talking about ‘fake saints’ and people who “play the victim”.
She claimed she was excluded from Princess’ new ITV2 show, The Princess Diaries. Katie also revealed she is “upset” that their daughter Princess signed with Peter’s management team – and alleged she was not invited to Princess’ 18th birthday party because of the doc.
Princess issued her own statement on her parents’ feud during a social media Q&A. She told fans: “To be honest it doesn’t affect me. At the end of the day, they broke up when I was two years old so I don’t even have any memory of them being together. I love my mum and dad and that’s all that matters.”
It’s not just Peter Katie has had tension with in recent weeks. Another of Katie’s exes, Alex Reid, posted a video in which she slated Peter’s kids with his wife Emily.
Katie admitted her recent chart success is a dream come true for her as she’s always wanted to be a famous pop star. She added: “I didn’t know whether to cry, laugh… since a kid I always wanted to be a model or pop star. In my textbook when I was 11, the subject was what do want to do I want to do when I’m older.
“In that, I wrote I want a fairytale wedding, I want a big house with lots of kids, have horses at home, drive a black Jeep, and have a famous model and pop star.
“Everything on that list is now been ticked. All my dreams have come true and that’s very rare to happen to someone. Dreams are meant to be dreams, my dreams have come true and I’m buzzing.
“Now it’s given me a little kick up the a***, I have supporters out there. I can’t believe it. Where has it come from? I can’t thank you enough, they’ve made my dream come true.”
