It was announced over the weekend that Caprice Bourret would no longer be competing on Dancing on Ice.
The lingerie entrepreneur, 48, revealed she was exiting the competition to focus on her “mental health”.
It comes after Caprice split from her original skating partner Hamish Gaman two weeks ago.
Speaking about the shocking news on today’s instalment of Lorraine, the Scottish host said: “Caprice left Dancing on Ice to look after mental wellbeing.
“Very, very strange.”
Lorraine’s comments come amid claims that Caprice was “bullied” by Hamish – an allegation ITV has vehemently denied.
Caprice’s spokeswoman told Mirror Online: “It’s true that Caprice is no longer participating in Dancing On Ice.
“It’s been a hard few months and she’s had to keep silent for contractual reasons.”
Her spokeswoman continued: “Her mental wellbeing has been affected over the last two months and recent stories leaked to the press are not only salacious but extremely hurtful.

“Now she’s taking some time to recover and look after herself and her family.”
The confirmed comes after a source also told Daily Star yesterday that Caprice was pulling out of the show “for the sake of her mental health”.
They also claimed she was upset by “vicious rumours” since she split from pro partner Hamish, 36.
An insider told Daily Star Sunday Caprice was feeling “broken” after the Dancing on Ice drama.

The source claimed: “She’s a strong woman, but when her kids are coming home from school upset because other kids are repeating lies about their mum, it’s hard not to let it affect you.
“She’s a loyal friend and is always the first to offer her help. It’s been so hurtful reading all the rubbish that’s being said about her.”
Holly Willoughby confirmed Caprice and Hamish had “parted ways” last moth during an instalment of Dancing on Ice, however, no further explanation was given.
