New Channel 4 documentary Barrymore: The Body in the Pool launches tomorrow on Channel 4 and will reexamine Stuart Lubbock’s untimely death.
Lubbock, 31, was found death in the swimming pool outside Michael Barrymore’s Essex home in 2001.
It was later determined in a post-mortem examination that Lubbock had been sexually assaulted before he died at the drug-fuelled party.
The details of what really happened that night have remained a mystery, and Essex police has launched a fresh appeal to try and work out what occurred on that fateful night.

He remarked: “We want the people who do have information to come forward and talk to us – 19 years is a long time, loyalties change and it is never too late to do the right thing.
“Some people also arrived at the scene in the hours after Stuart’s death. They may also hold key information and we would like to hear from them.
“It is also possible that individuals at the party may have told other people what happened that night – if you know anything please come forward and speak anonymously to Crimestoppers.

“Crimestoppers charity allows people to give information 100 per cent anonymously.
“Please help us to help Stuart’s family finally get answers and justice.”
Barrymore, now 67, and two other men – his ex-lover Jonathan Kenney and dustman Justin Merritt – were arrested and later released without charge.

Police say the three have not been “completely eliminated” from inquiries.
Five others who were at the party that night – Merritt’s younger sister Kylie, chef James Futers, and locals Simon Shaw, Claire Jones, then 17, and Kelly Campbell – have also not been eliminated, according to police, “who say that one or more of the eight at the party was responsible for Stuart’s death”.
