EastEnders fans 'work out' Sharon will be next pub landlady after Mick bombshell

EastEnders fans have already got busy speculating who will take over the Queen Vic pub after Linda Carter made a shocking discovery tonight.

Tuning in for the BBC One soap, the scene began with landlady Linda walking around the Vic carrying some papers as she donned a fluffy pink coat.

But Linda was distracted when she caught a woman acting strangely as she looked behind the furniture and appeared to be measuring areas.

Curious, Linda asked what she was doing to which the brunette woman explained she was there to carry out an evaluation which her husband Mick Carter had asked them to come and do.

As the woman began babbling that the place was in “good nick”, a shocked Linda asked: “Evaluation?”

The woman replied: “Should be able to email you on Monday with the price. I understand it’s a great sale.”

A stunned Linda then stormed over to Shirley to demand if she knew that Mick was selling the Vic, as she screamed: “He did this behind my back without telling me.”

Linda, who is currently battling an alcohol addiction, then continued to shout at her mother-in-law: “So, what’s the plan?

“Sell it, take the money, get rid, see me in the gutter, take my son, is that it? Is that the rough idea?”

To which Shirley screamed back: “Can you blame him if he did?”

But fans are already running with speculation, with many convinced Mick is preparing for a divorce and that Sharon Mitchell will be the new landlady.

Taking to Twitter, one wrote: “My prediction… Sharon gives birth but not on the boat and she becomes the Vic landlady once again… where she belongs.”

A second said: “Selling the Vic OMG, Sharon needs to be landlady!”

A third tweeted: “Can’t wait for Queen Sharon to buy the Vic this year and Vicki Fowler to come back to work with her.”

EastEnders continues on BBC One at 7.30pm on Monday.
