Sara Cox 'heartbroken' as brother tragically dies from heart condition

BBC Radio presenter Sara Cox’s brother David tragically died just before Christmas leaving her and her family devastated.

Radio DJ Sara Cox’s brother tragically passed away just before Christmas.

David was just 56 years-old when he died on December 6.

He died from an underlying heart condition.

A source told The Sun: “He died so suddenly, Sara is absolutely heartbroken.

“The whole family has been really shaken by the death.”

The sad passing was confirmed in the Bolton News newspaper.

A short obituary read: “Beloved partner to Linda, a loving son, father, brother, uncle and dear friend to many. Sadly missed.”

A private family funeral was held on December 23 at St. George’s Church in Chorley followed by a committal at Charnock Richard Crematorium.

Sara and David’s family have set up a Just Giving page to raise money in his memory.

The profile reads: “Thank you for visiting David’s fundraising page.

“David passed away suddenly on 6 December 2019, due to an unknown underlying heart condition.

Sara is yet to comment publicly on the sad news.
