Paul Hollywood’s ex Summer Monteys-Fullam has opened up about her tumultuous romance with the TV baking judge, 53, and admitted her mum warned her the relationship would “explode”.
The pair’s paths crossed shortly after the Bake Off star’s separation from wife Alexandra in 2017 after they met while Summer, 24, was working at Paul’s local pub in Ickham, Kent.
Despite their age-gap, the couple dated for two years, with Summer quickly moving into the baker’s sprawling abode.
However, her mother Sabina had concerns about their relationship from the beginning, citing their 29-year age difference was a major factor in why it didn’t work out for the duo.
“You’ve got a beautiful young redhead with an older man . . . the age gap. It was all there. I always knew it would explode,” Sabina Monteys-Fullam said.

Speaking about their romance to The Sun, the fiery redhead admitted she never saw their differing ages as a big deal.
She explained: “The age gap for me wasn’t a problem. I didn’t really care about it because if you love someone, then age is nothing but a number.”
She later added she was “besotted” with the small screen star, and in the interest of her family, kept their relationship under wraps for months.

But their two-year relationship came to a dramatic end after Summer refused to sign Paul’s non-disclosure agreement, forbidding her to discuss their relationship.
It has been claimed the TV judge wanted her to sign a gagging order, shortly after his two-decade marriage to Alexandra fell apart.
After she declined the NDA, Summer swiftly moved out of Paul’s home and back in with her mum.

Sabrina added: “It’s been hard for her and it’s been hard as a mum, as a parent, watching that.”
Paul has since moved on and struck up a relationship with pub landlady Melissa Spalding after meeting last year.
