Harry Styles mum in tear-jerking tribute to Caroline Flack after tragic death

Harry Styles’ mum Anne Twist has paid tribute to the TV presenter Caroline Flack today after news of her tragic death broke.

Caroline, 40, was found dead in her London flat on Saturday, having taken her own life.

Anne, who is the proud mum to One Direction star Harry Styles, took to Instagram to pay her respects to the media personality.

Sharing a photograph of a poem, she wrote: “May you have found your peace @carolineflack.”

The poem touched on feelings of loneliness and vulnerability, referring to a “mask” worn in public.

It read: “How lonely must you feel to think that must be done, to feel there is no love, to support you through.

“How must your heartache to feel so alone, the public face, the private face, both vulnerable.

“The mask we all wear outside where skies are open, in view of others’ eyes, opinions words and cruelty.”

Before finishing: “Unmasked and alone, black hole surrounds, no shoulder or heart, enough to take the pain.”

Caroline and Harry were romantically linked back in 2011, having met one another on the set of X Factor.

The two had a short-lived romance, which was met with backlash due to their 14-year age-gap.

Caroline’s family confirmed her death in a statement yesterday, which read: “We can confirm that our Caroline passed away today on the 15th February.

“We would ask that the press respect the privacy of the family at this difficult time.”
