Harry Styles seemingly pays tribute to Caroline Flack at BRITs with accessory

One Direction lead singer Harry Styles has seemingly paid tribute to his former flame Caroline Flack as he donned the red carpet at the Brits.

The 26-year-old posed for photographers while wearing a matching brown suit, with a purple jumper and white shirt underneath his blazer.

Wearing a pearl necklace, it was another accessory that really grabbed fans’ attention as Harry wore a black ribbon on the right side of his blazer.

Wearing a black ribbon symbolises a number of causes including September 11 in remembrance of 9/11, melanoma awareness, narcolepsy, Primary Biliary Cholangitis, sleep apnea, sleep disorders, mourning and remembrance.

The ribbon comes after Caroline took her own life on Saturday, February 15, at her home in east London.

Her family lawyer revealed in a statement that the former Love Island host had taken her life by suicide.

Caroline and Harry were romantically linked back in 2011, having met one on the set of The X Factor.

Daily Star Online revealed yesterday that Harry will bravely push ahead with plans to perform at tonight’s BRIT Awards in London despite the tragic death of his friend.

The former X Factor contestant is also nominated for two awards at the iconic awards show held at the O2 Arena.

A source told Daily Star Online: “Despite the tragic news which will have effected him deeply, Harry’s booking for the BRIT Awards has not changed.

“He will perform during the show as planned.”

Over the weekend Harry’s mum Anne Twist paid tribute to Caroline on social media.

Taking to Twitter, Anna posted to her 1.8 million followers: “Heartbreaking #ripcarolineflack” along with a broken heart emoji.

She later retweeted a post which read: “Nobody should be made to feel like they don’t belong on this earth , nobody!

“Nobody should be made to feel so frightened and bereft of options they decide to take their own life.”
