Ozzy Osbourne says he's in 'unbelievable pain' amid tragic Parkinson's battle

Ozzy Osbourne admitted he is in “unbelievable pain” after revealing his Parkinson’s diagnosis.

The 71-year-old has opened up about his health battle, and explained he is recovering from a fall early last year, which is “driving him nuts”.

During a new interview, the rocker heaped praise on wife Sharon Osbourne for looking after him, and confessed he has “been laid up for a year now”.

Recalling the fall, which happened when he went to the toilet in the middle of the night, he said: “I remember it like it was yesterday. I was lying there as clearly and as calmly as anything, thinking, ‘Well Ozzy, you’ve f***ing done it.

“I have to be helped to change, to have a bath . . . it’s just f***ing awkward, you know?”

The accident resulted in him aggravating an irksome neck injury he experienced in a quad bike accident in 2003.

Ozzy continued telling The Sun: “If I had a choice between the Parkinson’s and the f***ing neck, I’d go for the Parkinson’s. I’ve been laid up for a year now.

“First I had an infection in my hand — that pulled me off the road — then I got pneumonia, then I had the fall, then I had surgery and here I am today. It’s driving me nuts.”

“I’ve recovered from alcoholism, drug addiction, all of the above. Then I tripped over, and that’s it.”

The rocker thanked wife Sharon for helping him during his Parkinson’s battle

Last month, the Black Sabbath vocalist confirmed he has Parkinson’s during an emotional chat on Good Morning America, and said he couldn’t hide it anymore because his symptoms were developing.

Sitting alongside wife Sharon, he said: “I had to have surgery on my neck which screwed all my nerves. I found out that I have a mild form of….’ he said before looking to his wife to finish his sentence.

Sharon added: “It’s Parkin 2 which is a form of Parkinson’s. There are so many different types of Parkinson’s.

Ozzy also spoke about the guilt he felt from hiding his illness from the public, as he said: “To hide something is hard – you never feel proper. You feel guilty. I’m no good with secrets. I cannot walk around with it any more. It’s like I’m running out of excuses.”
