Inside Lewis Capaldi's humble childhood home where the million pound artist still lives

Lewis Capaldi may be one of the biggest artists and celebrities on the planet right now, but fame hasn’t got to his head just yet.

The Brit award winner, 23, is raking in the millions following the success of his debut album, but he still lives in his childhood home.

Lewis happily resides with his mum Carole and dad Mark in the house that he grew up in, which is located in Bathgate, Scotland.

Despite that fact that he’s more than capable of splashing out on a lavish bachelor pad, the singer has no intention to flee the nest anytime soon.

As it turns out, the Scottish funnyman would rather spend all of his money on food, rather than a place to call his own.

Speaking exclusively to The Daily Star, Lewis admitted that there’s always time to make money, but food comes before anything else.

“All I spend my money on is food because I can’t help stuffing my face. I am splurging on food and it shows, it’s showing on my gut, my gut is expanding every day.”

The star added: “There’s always room to earn more, I still live with my parents so I don’t think I am earning that much money.”

Lewis hasn’t been shy about the fact he still shares his home with his parents, and instead, proudly gives fans a glimpse into the home in which he grew up on the regular.

The ‘Someone You Loved’ singer’s bedroom captures the essence of his boyish charms.

Lewis’ cosy bedroom is decorated with a New-York-themed wallpaper and his bedside table is full of funky knick-knacks including toy cars and a carousel of sunglasses – his signature accessory.

Lewis has further decorated his humble bedroom by hanging various prints and posters on his wardrobe doors.

The star’s only showbiz material item lies in the huge vanity mirror he owns which is illuminated with professional light bulbs.

It appears that the Capaldis are fond of a colourful palette and enjoy a rather vibrant and quirky decor.

The living area in Lewis’ gaff is painted in a lime green tone and features shelves which compliment and mirror the colourful room with a pink and white patchwork design.

Lewis was previously estimated to have a net worth of £7.8 million by Forbes, but the singer denied the claims and took to Instagram to set the story – and the estimate – straight.

In his Instagram story, he told his 4.8 million followers that he had “less than £200” in his bank account.

He quipped: “I’ve had the same bedroom since I was 10 years old! I’ve got f***ing New York wallpaper.

“I just want to make clear that’s nonsense and if the taxman is watching I’m not trying to dodge.

“Although the next time I’m out and I want to impress anybody, I’ll probably show them that.”
