Caroline Flack made plea for people to stop being judgemental in last interview

Caroline Flack made a plea for people to stop being judgmental in the last interview before her death.

The presenter, 40, suffered relentless abuse from internet trolls before taking her own life.

The YouTube channel On Demand Entertainment spoke to her in November, two months before she died.

Caroline spoke about filming a documentary about womanhood with comic Kathy Burke. She said: “The whole show was brilliant because Kathy listened to the way people lived their lives and not once was she judgmental about it.

“She was like, ‘That’s the way you want to live and that’s fine’. And that’s the way it should be.” Caroline opened up to Kathy about the stigma around women being single in their late 30s. Recalling the interview, she added: “It was really nice to chat to someone who understood.”

In the conversation, Caroline was asked to name her favourite Love Island couple. But she replied: “You can’t judge relationships. They’re all different.” She also told how excited she was about Love Island’s first winter series, from which she was later axed.

She said: “I think everybody needs a little more love in the winter. Everyone needs a bit more warmth in the winter. And Love Island is the warmth we need.”

Caroline killed herself at her London home last weekend.

She was due to go on trial over assault charges and had a long-running battle with mental health problems.

The TV star’s death has prompted calls for tighter regulations on social media to stop people being abused.
