Love Island's Sophie Piper spills details on Connor romance as pair go exclusive

Love Island’s Sophie Piper accidentally let slip that she and Connor Durman’ s relationship had now taken a leap forward as she verified that their relationship was now “exclusive” before realising she had said too much.

After the bombshell revelation, she later added that she and Connor hadn’t even yet “discussed” the status of their relationship.

Speaking exclusively to the Daily Star Online at BOXPARK Croydon, Sophie said “I would say that me and Connor are exclusive.”

Realising that she’d just let a big secret out of the bag, Sophie retracted slightly: “Exclusive is a big word, I don’t actually think that we have really discussed it but we are dating and have been on quite a few dates.”

Since leaving the villa, Rochelle Humes’ sister Sophie, 23, has enjoyed quite a few dates with Connor Durman, 25, who she was coupled with while in the house.

Sophie catapulted to fame after she appeared on the first ever series of winter Love Island.

During her stint in the villa, she was coupled with coffee-bean salesman Connor.

Connor’s time ended swiftly on the show after fellow co-stars had to choose between the pair.

After Connor’s exit, the former medial PA struggled to find herself compatible with anyone else and quite soon after was voted to leave too.

While the couple did enjoyed lots of happy times together, they also faced difficulties early on and some feared that Connor may seemed a tad “controlling” at times.

Although Sophie wanted to set the record straight and defended her flame but did agree that he was a bit “sensitive at times”.

She said: “People have said that Connor did come across as controlling but he is honestly not like that at all, he’s actually really sweet.”

“I think we can all agree that he can be a bit sensitive at times.”

After six weeks long weeks, winter Love Island sadly comes to a close this evening with one couple being crowned the 2020 winners.

There can be only one victor and four contenders remain, Paige Turley and Finn Tapp, Luke Trotman and Siânnise Fudge, Jess Gale and Ched Uzor and not forgetting the newest couple to have found love, Luke Mabbott and Demi Jones.

The Love Island final will air tonight on ITV2 at 9pm
