Emmerdale’s Pierce Harris revealed he had kidnapped Vanessa Woodfield and her son Johnny in tonight’s episode, leaving Rhona Goskirk panicked.
Vanessa (Michelle Hardwick) and Johnny have been locked in Laurel Thomas’ (Charlotte Bellamy) home while she’s out of town, prisoners to Pierce’s every whim.
Vanessa rang best pal Rhona (Zoe Henry) from Laurel’s home over FaceTime, as Pierce (Jonathan Wrather) watched from afar, threatening her offscreen.
Rhona was terrified by the reveal and immediately agreed to go along with Pierce’s demands in exchange for her friend’s safety.
But viewers couldn’t help but point out that Laurel’s decor – which Rhona ought to recognise – was visible in the shot.
Over on Twitter, ITV fans flooded to point out that Rhona would have likely recognised the familiar living room.
One said: “FFS look around them surly [sic] you know what Laurel’s house looks like.”
A second agreed: “FFS – Rhona can’t recognise Laurel’s atrocious interior decor???”
And a third remarked: “I’m sure she would know that’s Laurel’s house.”
Vanessa looked terrified on the video chat, as she warned Rhona to be wary around the former convict.
Rhona demanded: “You need to tell me where you are right now!”
Suddenly, Pierce whipped the phone out of Vanessa’s hand, and pleaded: “Rhona, I’ve missed you.”
When Rhona threatened to ring the police, he replied: “I wouldn’t advise that. The thought of freedom is the only thing keeping Vanessa going.”

Using Vanessa as collateral, he managed to convince Rhona to meet up with him alone the following day.
As sinister as ever, he added: “We’ll find somewhere romantic where we won’t be disturbed.”
Will Rhona and Vanessa make it out alive?
Emmerdale airs on weekdays at 7pm on ITV.
