EastEnders fans weren’t impressed by Sharon Mitchell’s absence from tonight’s episode, following Denny Rickman’s tragic death.
The teenager, played by Bleu Landau, drowned in last week’s boat accident, leaving mum Sharon (Letitia Dean) distraught.
Tonight, she appeared briefly in an early scene, arriving home from the hospital looking completely forlorn.
But after that, the episode focused on Ben Mitchell (Max Bowden) as he battled with deafness and Whitney Dean’s (Shona McGarty) stint in jail.
Taking to Twitter, EastEnders fans suggested Sharon had been ignored in the episode, especially following such an enormous tragedy.

One said: “That was just a joke, no focus on the one character who should have had it Sharon and did Ben even acknowledge Denny’s death, nope!”
A second agreed: “Enjoyed the episode but need more Sharon her son just died for Christ sake.”
And a third chimed: “The ONE character that the episode should have been purely about and we literally had about seven seconds of Sharon.”

While a fourth remarked: “One Sharon scene and a Ben Mitchell duff duff when Sharon has just lost her teenage son?”
Ian (Adam Woodyatt) couldn’t help but look guilty tonight, as he faced up to Denny’s untimely death.
The cafe-owner locked the schoolboy below deck on the doomed party boat, furious to learn he had cyberbullied his son Bobby.

Once the ship started to sink, Ian tried best to free Denny from the watery prison, but it was a case of too little, too late.
How will Sharon react when she learns Ian was responsible for her son’s death?
EastEnders airs Mondays and Fridays at 8pm, and Tuesdays and Thursdays at 7:30pm on BBC One.
