David and Victoria Beckham's raunchy mirrored ceiling and 'tarts boudoir' in kinky first home

When David and Victoria Beckham first met in the Manchester United players’ lounge in 1997, the chemistry was sizzling.

Instead of dating at fancy restaurants, the love birds would park up in a Harvester car park and snog each others’ faces off before finally giving into their animal urges in a romantic night of passion at David’s place in Manchester.

Certain he’d met his soulmate, the footballer popped the question in 1998 and the following year they married in one of the most extravagant wedding the showbiz world has ever seen – shout out to the thrones.

But the glamorous couple needed a glamorous home to make the most of life as newlyweds and snapped up Rowneybury House, in the Hertfordshire town of Sawbridgeworth, for £2.5million.

Unhappy with the French chic decor at the former home for disabled children, they ripped everything out and splashed an estimated £3million on turning it into the famous Beckingham Palace.

The seven-bedroom mock-Georgian was set in 24 acres and boasted a petting zoo, a woodland chapel, fake ancient ruins, a maze, £70,000 barbecue and professionally tended football pitch.

But it was the racy interiors that held Posh’s interest, with the star – who once declared “I don’t give a f*** what anybody thinks!” – ramping up the raunch factor.

“There’s a room like a tart’s boudoir, with leopard print everywhere and a mirrored ceiling,” she once revealed of the kinky addition.

“The hall is completely camp, with bright red walls, a huge big tacky chandelier, and big, thick velvet curtains.”

However, their actual bedroom was a more sedate affair with Posh, now 45, describing it as, “quite virginal and white, with a big four-poster, old-oak bed.”

She also added her own glitzy stamp to the Audrey Hepburn-themed bathroom, along with an indoor swimming pool, a snooker room, a gym and flood-lit tennis courts.

Meanwhile, over the years Victoria has never shied away from talking about her attraction to David – aka People magazine’s Sexiest Man Alive.

Once asked if she prefers sleep to sex, she told Allure magazine: “I’m getting into bed with David Beckham every night, so, you know, there’d be something wrong if I said, ‘sleep’.”

And as for whether she’s a onesie or nightie kind of girl, VB said she actually goes to bed au naturele because she finds her husband so irresistable.

“I tend to wear nothing, but David bought me these little sets from Agent Provocateur, his favourite store,” she admitted.

And in 2007 she jumped to David’s defence when he was accused of padding out his bulge for an Armani underwear advert, comparing his manhood to a ‘tractor exhaust pipe’!

Gushing about their “really good sex life,” she raved: “He is very much in proportion. He does have a huge one, though. He does. You can see it in the advert. It is all his. It is like a tractor exhaust pipe!”.

However, like most young parents, the arrival of daughter Harper in 2011 reportedly put the kibosh on their nocturnal activities because she refused to sleep in her own bed.

But appearing on American talk show The View last year, when Victoria was asked if the sex had gone off the boil after 20 years, she quipped: “Don’t worry about that!”
