Happy Ant McPartlin has told how he “loves” his new sober life.
The Saturday Night Takeaway star says his quiet existence with girlfriend Anne-Marie Corbett, her daughters and his dogs is his “happy place”.
Asked whether he was afraid of dying, Ant said: “No, but in the same breath, I love life, so long may that continue.”
The contented presenter’s comments mark a huge turnaround, as in 2017 and 2018, he had two stints in rehab for booze and drug addiction, a drink-drive conviction, a marriage split and a year’s break from telly.
And he hinted that his new relationship with former PA Anne-Marie is behind his comeback.
Ant, 44, added: “To feel love and give love – it’s the greatest feeling there is.”

During a Q+A with Stylist magazine, the Geordie telly king hinted at his struggle to tell others about his demons at his lowest ebb.
Sidekick Declan Donnelly had previously talked about how angry he was with his best mate for keeping him the dark about his addictions.
Asked what the greatest life lessons he had learnt was, Ant said: “That it’s OK to ask for help.
“I think men especially struggle with that a lot.”
The I’m A Celeb and Britain’s Got Talent host has been seen with a series of tattoos which appear to reference his new “straight-edge” lifestyle.
Ant added: “We struggle so much with wanting everybody to like us, we weaken ourselves at times.”
