Peter Kay comeback tickets expected to sell out in just minutes

Tickets for Peter Kay’s comeback shows were expected to sell out “in minutes” this morning.

Kay, 46, is doing six Dance for Life gigs as DJ PK in Manchester, Liverpool and London after a three-year break.

Tickets went on sale at 9am but many fans were expected to be left disappointed. A source said: “He’s the biggest comedy star in Britain and we’ve not seen him for years. It’s the hottest ticket in town.”

In late 2017, Kay cancelled all work projects due to “unforeseen family circumstances”.

Fans were desperate to get tickets to catch him in April and May. One posted: “Cancel everything we NEED to get tickets.”

All proceeds will go to Cancer Research UK and Caro Evans, director of partnerships for the charity, said: “We are so grateful to Peter for hosting his epic Dance For Life events to help us fund vital research to beat cancer. We need as many people as possible to join Peter and make a difference by dancing the night away.”

He will visit Liverpool’s Space by M&S Bank Arena, London’s Alexandra Palace and the Man-chester Central complex.

Tickets – on sale from 9am today -are £28.50 each and fancy dress is encouraged.

He set the Guinness World Record for the planet’s biggest-selling stand-up tour.

His Tour That Doesn’t Tour Tour… Now on Tour show sold 1.2milion tickets in 113 arena dates between February 2010 and November 2011.
