Ant McPartlin and Declan Donnelly have risked the wrath of their boss Simon Cowell after mocking his ability to learn lines or stick to a planned script on live TV.
The Geordie duo appeared on ITV daytime show Lorraine to talk about the latest series of Ant and Dec’s Saturday Night Takeaway.
The short is jam-packed with celebrity cameos including Love Island babe Amber Gill and Amanda Holden.
Speaking from the set of their new mini-drama Men In Brown, the duo admitted Simon is the celeb who has surprised them most with their acting ability.
Smirking, Dec said: “We have worked with him for years and he is not one for learning lines or remembering lines.

Ant and Dec have praised Simon’s acting skills
“Normally he is atrocious.”
Meanwhile, Ant added: “I don’t know what has happened to him.
“I think he has been taking acting lessons.”
Joking about his impressive new trim frame, the duo laughed: “Maybe Simon has lost all the weight from having the squits.”
Away from Takeaway, Simon Cowell is set to return to the small screen when Britain’s Got Talent kicks off in a few months time.

Ant and Dec spoke on Lorraine about the new series of Takeaway
The show wrapped-up filming earlier this month after a series of auditions in London and Manchester.
Awkwardly, many of the Golden Buzzer from the new series have leaked online already after Simon told fans in the audience they could tweet what they liked.
As he took to his seat, Simon turned to the packed London Palladium before saying: “You’ve probably been told you can’t take pictures, you can’t do this… Do what the hell you like.”

Amanda Holden makes a cameo on the new mini drama series
Meanwhile, a source told Daily Star Online: “Obviously the standard protocol is for fans to keep their phones in their pockets during filming of any TV show.
“The last thing a producer wants is for a sea of iPhones to be visible behind the judges during the show – it would look ridiculous.”
The insider added: “Simon was simply trying to hype up the crowd as he usual does but it’s hardly surprising details leaked after he ended up telling them they could take as many pictures as they liked.”
